Mold Maker: Terms, Privacy & Refunds

These terms cover the online mold maker at app.liligadget3d.com ("the Mold Maker"), run by Liligadget3D ("we", "us"), a UK business. By uploading a file or buying a mold you agree to them. They sit alongside our general shop policies.

Beta service

The Mold Maker is currently in beta: it works, and we're still improving it. Features, settings, prices and results may change as we update it, and there may occasionally be short interruptions. Always check your free preview before paying. If something doesn't look right, tell us: your feedback helps us improve it, and the refund promise in section 4 still applies.

1. What you get

  • Free preview: upload a 3D model (STL, OBJ or PLY) and see a 3D preview of the mold for free. You can change the settings a limited number of times per upload.
  • Paid mold files: when you pay, we build the mold at full quality and give you a download (a zip with the mold halves, the core for pour-cast molds, a build report and casting instructions).
  • Prices are shown in the Mold Maker before you pay and include any VAT that applies.
  • The files are for you to 3D print and use. You may use the molds and the casts you make with them commercially. You may not resell or share the mold files themselves.

2. Your model and your rights

  • Only upload models you own or have permission to use. By ticking the box in the Mold Maker you confirm this.
  • You keep all rights to your model. We only use it to build your preview and your mold files.
  • We may refuse or delete an upload that seems to break someone else's rights or the law.

3. Checking before you print

  • Please look at the free preview carefully before paying: the split line, the opening, the size and the silicone thickness.
  • Molds are made automatically from your file. Results depend on the model you upload (for example very thin parts, deep undercuts or damaged meshes).
  • Printing and casting are up to you. We are not responsible for print failures, material costs or casting results, but we are happy to help with advice.

4. Cancellations and refunds

  • The mold files are digital content supplied straight away. Before paying, you ask us to supply them immediately and agree that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the download is made available (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). This does not affect your other legal rights.
  • If something goes wrong on our side (the build fails, the download does not work, or the files are faulty or don't match your paid preview), contact us within 30 days with your reference code. We will rebuild the files or give you a full refund.
  • If you paid twice for the same mold by mistake, we refund the extra payment.
  • We can't refund a change of mind after the download is available, because you could see the full preview before paying.
  • Refunds go back to the card you used, usually within 5–10 working days.

5. Privacy

  • What we keep: your uploaded model, the mold files we make, your chosen settings, and technical information such as the time of your upload. If you pay, Stripe gives us your payment reference and email address. We never see or store your card details.
  • Why: to build your preview and mold, deliver your download, handle refunds and support, and keep records we must keep by law.
  • Who else is involved: Stripe (card payments), Cloudflare (secure connection to our server) and Shopify (our shop). They only process what they need to provide their service. We don't sell your data or use your model for anything else.
  • Keeping your model private: each upload has its own secret link. Other visitors can't see your model or your mold. Anyone you share your link with can see your preview, so keep it to yourself.
  • How long: uploads and mold files are deleted automatically after 14 days. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires (usually 6 years).
  • Your rights: under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Send us your reference code and we'll delete your files early. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

6. Our responsibility

  • We build the Mold Maker with care, but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
  • Where the law allows, our total liability for a mold is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
